Servant Evangelism
Doing small things with great kindness to unexpectedly interrupt a person's day with the love of God
The focus of servant evangelism is doing acts of kindness for anyone and everyone. “As we have opportunity, let us do good to all people” (Galatians 6:10) The possibilities are endless, but the common denominator is that nothing is asked for in return. One of the motivations behind this type evangelism is that the Bible tells us that God’s kindness leads people to repentance (Romans 2:4).
We schedule one or two events each year.
Saturday, March 7th from 8:30am to 1pm
We will blitz 1,000 homes in the Dover area with a free 9-volt battery to remind them it’s time to change batteries in smoke detectors and invite them to church. The batteries are attached to door hangers. We will meet at 8:30 for instructions, prayer and assignments to areas. Child care is available. We will hit the streets at 9 and be back at noon to share lunch together.
This is a fun outing and you can get some exercise as well!
