Mission Central is a non-profit organization associated with the United Methodist Church that warehouses supplies for disaster relief.  First, they provide immediate response to people impacted by disasters such as earthquake, fires, and floods.  Second, they provide cleaning buckets and supplies for disaster clean-up.  Third, they have a unit called New Digs for people to purchase low cost household items lost as a result of disasters.

We, at Dove Bethany, have a group of people that go the Mission Central in Mechanicsburg the first Wednesday every month to volunteer our time preparing items for distribution.  Heavy lifting is not required.  All work can be done sitting at a table.  Samples of work done are assembling school bag kits, birthing kits, hygiene kits, and layette kits.
