Ms. Rola came to DBELC in May of 2015. She can be found teaching in the pre-kindergarten classroom. She graduated from Central High School and has earned her CDA in preschool and is excited to continue her education in the field of early childhood education. Her experience with children includes working in other early childhood centers with various age groups, but preschool is where she enjoys teaching the most. She believes that preschool is essential because it is the first step before children start school. She enjoys watching them grow in both mind and body. It is important to lay the foundation for learning so the children are prepared to start kindergarten. She is happy to play a part in that process.
Ms. Brittany came to DBELC in May of 2015. Although she helps out in almost every classroom, Ms. Brittany spends most of her time working with the school-agers. She graduated from Central York and participated with the school’s Panther Preschool program. Her experience with children includes babysitting and volunteering at her church. She has been a member of the Christian Education Committee there since 2008. She is currently attending York College for her degree in Early Childhood Education. She feels that the most rewarding part of working with children is to be able to see their faces light up when they grasp a new concept.
I am Ms. Lauren and I am teaching the young toddlers class. For six years, I have been working with children in child care and sports programs. I am looking forward to returning to school in the near future to obtain my associates degree. In my free time, I enjoy spending my time with my friends and family, but I also really enjoy going to the beach in North Carolina where my mom lives! Whenever we can, my boyfriend, Zac, and I head 8 hours south to spend some time on the beach. What I enjoy most about teaching is forming a bond with all the children and watching them grow and develop their unique personalities.
Ms. Kristina is a floater who spends time helping out throughout the center, but most days, she can be found cuddling babies in the infant room. Kristina graduated from Central York High School and is currently attending college at Harrisburg Area Community College. Her previous experience with children includes 6 years of babysitting experience and volunteering as a teacher’s assistant for her church’s Sunday School class. In her free time, Kristina enjoys being outside, kayaking, and playing the piano. She also likes to spend her time with her friends and family. She appreciates the opportunity to work with children because she likes to see their excitement when she shows them new things and to see the children develop overtime.
I am Ms. Angie and I am teaching the young toddlers class. I have over eight years of experience working with infants and toddlers. I am looking forward to returning to school in the near future to obtain my CDA credential. My two children, who are preschool and school ages, attend DBELC. I enjoy spending my time with them the most, but I also like going to flea markets and watching NFL football. I am a huge San Francisco 49ers fan! What I enjoy most about teaching is watching the children grown and learn through new experiences and play each day!
